Hi everyone,

On the days when I feel really bad and have the tummy issues, my appetite is hardly there. This has caused weight loss. However, on the days when I feel better, my appetite is much better, and I seem to always be craving sweets. Every day on this journey is different. I get the burning skin some days, the frequent nighttime urination EVERY night, the shaking body and ringing ears, the digestive troubles, the emotional ups and downs, and so on. Do any of you deal with these issues, and do you crave sweets??

My mammogram came back normal, and Monday I go for my pap and blood test.

I have to say that there are days when it is just plain hard being a girl !!

Have a good Saturday everyone!

Hi viktik:

I was suffering from the same problems as you a year ago last Oct. I had the extreme nausea (I lost 22 lbs almost overnight), the burning sensation in my hands and feet, exhaustion beyond belief, tingling in my head and headaches, a shaky feeling inside, anxiety. Truly, I thought I was dying.

It lasted for about 10 months but I do have a geat improvement now. I went on anti-anxiety meds for several months until I felt ready to cope with it all. I started using fish oils, B Stress complex and magnesium which did take the edge off it to some degree although I was still bothered so badly by the burning sensation in my hands and feet and I still had terrible bouts with nausea. I can't do any form of estrogen since I have blood clotting issues so I went with the natural progesterone cream instead. It too about 2 months but I did see results. I have scarcely any problems anymore. I do get a minute bit of tingling in my feet around my period but nothing like it used to be. The nausea is completely gone, I don't have any anxiety anymore. It feels so great to feel pretty well normal.

wizard,
it's good to hear you are doing better. i take meds for anxiety which started 2 years ago. i firmly believe that the anxiety is related to peri. i hadn't had a period in 7 months and the anxiey was doing well and then one day i woke up and had breakthrough anxiety and then syptoms of pms and then a week later my period started. i'm 52 and been in peri going on 9 years. i exercise, take vitamins, flaxseed oil, promensil, and use progesterone cream. i know this has to end sometime. i hope soon. so does my dh.
