Hi H,

I don't know if that's the precise wording I would use LOL but in general you want to eat complex carbs. Those are carbs that take longer to digest so they slowly enter your bloodstream. Those carbs are found in whole grain products such as 100% whole wheat bread or other whole grains, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, barley etc. Vegetables are mostly made of fiber and water and they are good to eat because they fill you up and have low calorie counts.

Simple carbs are carbs that easily convert to sugar in your digestive tract. Those are found in cakes, candy, cookies, white breads etc and those types of food are ones that would be better to eat in small amounts. They tend to contain lots of sugar and or fat and have very little nutritional value.
