Hi. After gathering all the information I've read and posted on this section of these forums I've finally understood how to do a proper diet and made one myself. Here it is:
BREAKFAST
Bagel & egg sandwich
2 eggs scrambled
1 wholegrain bagel
1 Cup skim milk
SNACK
One medium orange
LUNCH
Chicken sandwich
Roasted, skinless chicken breast
2 Slices wheat bread
Piled high with lettuce leaves
One peach
SNACK
Lowfat yogurt and an apple
DINNER
Med. lean pork chop
Fresh asparagus
One cup applesauce
One whole artichoke
Total Calories: around 1500
So what do you think? I got my protein in there for my muscles, got the good carbs, and have a little fiber in there. I'm also doing 100 push ups and sit ups everyday and also drinking plenty of water and taking a 1 a Day multivitamin.

HI J,
Looks like you've got your fruit in there and some veggies, try for 4 servings of veggies if you can. You can buy fresh ones in bags and nuke them for 4 min and they're ready to eat. When you eat veggies, think color. Try to eat as many different color veggies as you can in a week since each color has different nutritional benefit. You on a Diet book also recommends having a tsp of cinnamon a day and 10 tbs of tomato sauce a week. I would also add some healthy fat too like olive oil, nuts, olives, peanut butter etc. You don't have to eat a lot of it but some would be good. The protein and complex carb seems ok. If you're a little hungry at dinner you could add some brown rice or whole wheat pasta or beans ti fill you up since 1500 is still on the low side for a male and an extra hundred or so calories may be good for your metabolism.
The multivitamin is a good idea. Are you doing cardio or just strength trainin? You may want to add squats and luinges for your lower body. Good Luck

ya I'll add more veggies to my diet and also peanuts I forgot to add that. Right now I'm just doing strength training because there's something wrong with my left leg it gives out on me about 15 minutes after running so I'm thinking about walking around the park for 30 mins.

Sorry I'm just interested for my own diet but how big do you think the pork chop is? I know you say medium but could you guestimate how much it weighs?

Hi J,
Walking is great exercise. I lost 107 lbs and most of my exercise for the past year was walking.

I say throw in some gym work ie running, biking, cross trainer etc and some weights and you will notice great results
