I went to the Dr. a couple weeks ago, and he said it's not infected, and recommended equal parts vinegar and peroxide to clear up the wax. I've had this before, but it's not clearing up this time. I used the mixture with the same directions as the "ear wax removal kit" I got once before -- twice a day for four days. Let it sit in the ear for several minutes then flush a little. Last time--a couple of years ago--eventually the wax came out. So I'm wondering, if the wax softens up, does it have to come out? Or can it be absorbed by the body? It does seem to be getting a little better. And what actually causes this? Is it a "plug" of too much hardened wax behind the eardrum? I can't afford to see an ENT, so I'm hoping it will clear up completely soon.
Thanks
