Hi,
Hello i did a post on another forum about eating sugar free jelly for a long period to lose weight. There were replies about aspartame saying they wouldnt eat the jelly because of this ....is it that bad??
If so is there any jellies with no aspartame in?
I know jelly is called something else in the us...i think its jam in the us?

xmwx,
I think "jelly" in the UK is JELLO or gelatine dessert in the U.S.
It's not a good everyday food becasue it is filled with artificial colors and flavors which have historically been show to be carcinogenic and then they move to a different formulation.
The aspartame is the least of the nutritional problems.
For the occasional diet aid it is a tasty, non-caloric morsel; I eat it when I get strict about my calorie intake and declare war on REAL desserts.
