Hi, just thought I'd drop by and say hi. I am home and doing well, as well as can be. We are now in our beautiful new house, I love our home.
We have been looking for a job, and we have an orientation for background in 2 wekks. I guess that's good.
I am a little worried, OK a lot worried. WHat happens if they ask me if I am on medication during interviews? I can't lie, I just can't. If I say yes, then I would have to explain myself, what then? I won't get the job. I know.
I am applying for Sheriff's Service Officer. Both my husband and I applied and passed the first interview. :)
I am hap[u here, and we have 2 very cute kittens. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. He know I love pets, so he made sure we had a couple as soon as we got our home. He has been so good to me. I am afraid he is getting depressed, but maybe it's just the stress of being unemployed.
But now we have hopes. We have been dealing well with all of it. We do spend some days resting, sometimes things are too much and we need rest. I just tell myself we should rest and not worry (I worry) because soon we will have a job and be really busy, so this should be like a mini vacation.
Well, I would like to know how Goddy is, I miss her, and my other friends here, I don't want to write a list because it's not nice, but I miss you guys. Sorry I have not been by, but my hubby has been on the internet constantly. (he's asleep now) ANd when I get on it, I look for jobs and check e-mail, then let him back on it.
Well, Hugs to all!!!:D :D :D :D

Well golly be, Strawberry....there you are!!! I've been wondering how things have been going for you and your hubby since you got back to the states. Looks as if you are settling in nicely. Glad to see that you have your kittys to brighten your days.

Hang in there regarding the job search. It's great to hear that both you and hubby made it through the first interview. I am sure with your MP experience that you will get the job with the Sheriff's department. As far as your meds I think that you should be upfront and honest....I believe that most employers do drug testing and Wellbutrin is used for many things from trying to quit smoking to PMS and depression so I wouldn't worry about putting the med down on your application. I am sure others here will advise you more on that but I don't think that you should worry about it....your record with the Army and performance there will speak highly about your qualifitaions for employment.

Keep us posted and glad to hear that things are going well for you.

I just got some wonderful news...my brother who was unable to sit up without going into severe tremors is now sitting up in bed with no tremors!!!:blob_fire So things in my neck of the woods are quite celebratory for my entire family!!! And Erin is doing well too....she is starting with a new therapist today that will work with her on her individual issues and we found a new pdoc who is suppose to be wonderful who she sees on the 20th!!

Hope you get some more time on the computer....we miss you around here.

Hi, nice to her from you Goody, and it's good to hear you are doing well. I will be honest on the job thing, I can't be anything other than honest, I guess that's my weakness.
Well, I hope that when I get a job I can have a regular schedule and all, I am not even sure I miss that, I have gotten comfortable here at home.
Well, I'll visit the board more often

Good to see you around again!!! :)

Hang in there with the job search. Something will turn around for both you and your hubby. There is a job waiting for both of you. Just be positive and hopeful. Keep up your spirits for each day. That is the best you can do, and try to avoid that thing called- depression. It is a hard concept to do but by working together, you both can manage it.

Congratulations with your kitties! Meow!! :D Just love animals!!!!!! We have two cats as well. They are such lovable animals. What are their names? Do they sleep with you? What colors?

How are you feeling? Have you been sleeping okay?

Hope you are doing okay. Stay positive with yourself, keep your self-esteem in the right direction, and believe in you.

Hugs

Yea for kitties!!!! I'm glad that you have fuzzy furry feline friends! I know when we moved and I had to start all over that my kitties helped keep me level. There seems to be a calming effect whenever they are around. Good luck and God bless!

Strawberry ~ Like me, you seem to be an extremely honest person and if you are truly like me, to a fault.;) One thing that I wanted to warn you about is to not openly disclose that you are Bipolar...alot of people out there do not truly understand that diagnosis and due to their ignorance may deny you an opportunity that you truly deserve.

My thinking is, sharing such information must be earned. I am trying to teach Erin this, that not everybody has earned the privilege of knowing that you have BP. So I would, if asked on the application, put down that you are on Wellbutrin and leave it at that. If asked why, then perhaps tell them it is to help you out with some of your moods...I guarantee if the employer is a man he will understand and not take it any further.;)

So that's it....I just didn't feel that you have to be an open book about all of this. Keep things on a need to know basis here because you truly deserve this job and we don't want somebody's ignorance getting in the way of it...okay???;)
