Last night my dd was complaining about ear pain (on the outside). It was red and swollen.
Then this morning there were these NASTY booger colored blisters where it was sore. I ended up popping them to give some relief, had them drain and cleaned them with peroxide.
What could they/this be??

You should get her checked out for staph infection.
Please take her to a doctor, this could be shingles. Unfortunately I have alot of experience with this and it is very painful. Also happens the way you described with pain first and then rash. They can give her antiviral meds but you have to start them quickly to be effective. You don't say how old she is and also has she ever had chickenpox?

My dd is 9; and these don't look like Chicken Pox blisters. They looked like something you would get on your feet from your shoes rubbing, but NASTY greenish/gray color.
She hasn't had Chicken pox, but had the vaccine YEARS ago...

Could be impetigo. I would definitely put antibiotic lotion on the sores and I wouldn't pop them anymore.

Well, IMO it doesn't look like shingles or Impetigo-I have had Impetigo and the blisters are NOTHING like the ones that were on my dd's ear. PLUS when I would get a break out, it itched instead of had pain. GEESH! I have made an appointment--I will let you all know what they say!!!
Thanks for your posts!

Well, the doc said it was impetigo! I couldn't believe it!
BUT I am glad I got her in so she doesn't spread it to all of us AND especially her baby brother.
Thanks again for all the replies!!!

Glad you got a diagnosis! My dd had impetigo and like you I didnt' think that's what it was because it looked different from what I had seen before! Now you can try to protect everyone else!
