Well ladies and gentleman, God has shown us a blessing today! My brother in law went to surgery at 7:45 a.m. and by 9:20 was thru. The doctors had been wrong!!! That is right, they were WRONG! The cancer had not spread to his lymphnodes. It was a tumor still in his colon (I am assuming his sigmoid) and they removed another 1/4 by resection to remove it. Poor Donnie only has 2/4 ths of a colon now, but this is better than death. They found one other questionable spot in some adipose tissue in his abdomen that they biopsied and will have the results in 48 hours. The best news here....he got it all laproscopic!! That is right, no open surgery!! So, he will be released today (probably already) and will see his oncologist soon to discuss treatment options. Sometimes we do get happy endings. This is as close as I could have dreamed and we will take it! I only hope my test comes back with good results and then my year will have started off as best as it could be. I am elated at the moment! May everyone feel such blessings in their lives soon and for those who do not, I am still praying for you to get your shining light filling your lives with rays of happiness.

Best wishes and thoughts,
Angelia

Terry, that is wonderful news!! I know you are all so relieved and it was great that he could have his surgery laproscopicly and not have an incision to worry about. I will say an extra prayer that the biopsy will come back benign and also that your test will show all clear. Good luck tomorrow.

Alison, I am saying extra prayers for you also that tomorrow you will get only good news. Let us know as soon as you can. :) dee
