I just wanted to let you guys know about Cymbalta, and what it's done for my pain. I switched to it about two months ago from zoloft, for depression- but it miraculously has pretty much made my aches and pains about 80% better. It's advertised to be effective for physical pain caused by depression, but my rheumatologist said he's not surprised it's helped with my lupus aches, as it helps with neuropathies. It has made such a difference in my activity level and the amount of pain meds I need (down to almost ZERO). I hate adding one more medication, but it's allowed me to stop the arthrotec and percocet. Maybe it'll work for you too?

I have been in the process of testing to determine the source of my chronic fatige and pain.
I have tried the following meds:
Trazodone and Elavil (on different occasions) caused sever mood swings and increased fatigue
Paxil - felt like someone flipped a switch in my brain, in a fog, slurring my words, unable to focus
Soma - did nothing resulting in loss of sleep and increased fatigue
Scared to try other meds but therapist suggest Cymbalta. So I am curious of possible side effects.

I tried Cymbalta a while back and I couldn't bring myself to take it after the first day! It put me on my behind!! I couldn't function for two days. I've tried everything for depression, the only thing that has helped me was myself. I believed I had more control over me than depression did, and I was right. I still fight it all the time, but I'm better! :)
Just thought I'd throw in my opinion...
Glad to hear that it works for you though!!! :D
