I agree with Francila.

Educate family members/household members what causes your problems, and what to do in case one happens to strike.

Educating them that things as simple as Police flashing lights may bring on a seizure; or the lights at a concert/dance hall. They may start to realize how frequent these type of lighting devices are in pubs or shopping stores.

The other item to know, and I hope you know your limits (in your case), is what "minimal" causes them. Some people have reported even the screens on windows, patterns on floor/carpet causing issues as well with similar patients.

Then there's the simple flourecent lighting to avoid if those are a problem.

However, in general with epilepsy, I found simple education is the best method with family and close friends for what to do. When to call for medical and when not to. Otherwise I would have been sent to the hospital many unwanted times.

See if the University or Hospital may offer educational courses (free) for the public if family members want to learn more than you can offer.
