Hi Everyone
I am so happy I found this board.
Can someone please tell me if these seem like "typical" asthma symptoms.
I feel the need to take a deep breath quite frequently. Sometimes it is worse when I'm working out (aerobics or light weights) but other times it feels better. Also, I have an unbelievably annoying sensation on the right side of my throat. It feels tight and almost like I am about to gag. I am on pulmicort twice daily but my symptoms haven't budged. My asthma doctor said these two symptoms, if asthma-related, should be under control with the asthma meds. Maybe it's from something else. Any thoughts on this? I would soooooo appreciate ANY help. I am SOOOOO CONFUSED!!
Thanks a million.

Do you have a rescue inhaler? Albuterol? If oyu do (and you should), you should be taking 2 puffs 20 minutes before any cardio activity. I'm a jogger and if I don't do that - I can't get 2 blocks.

And maybe pulmicort isn't the drug for you. Everyone is different. Flovent works for me. I have friends on Advair. Anyway, if you've been on it for more than a month and see no difference, I ask to try something else.

Good luck!
