Is It Possible To Have Both Polycythemia Vera And Essential Thrombothemia At The Same Time ???? Has Anyone Got Both? ????

I can only speak for myself but I started with ET and progressed to PV. there was a time that I was classified as ET with Borderline PV

the same for me, they originally said I had Essential Thrombothemia - then as the platelets got to their highest ever (1.5 million) my red cells were also high, they said the condition was "progressing" so they did a bone marrow biop and other blood tests and then diagnosed PV a few weeks ago

Oh, thankyou for the reply guys, i am a little clearer on the subject now, although i would be happyish just to have ET, don't want the worry off any horrible cancers in the future...i am currently 24 weeks preg and my platlets are coming down naturally due to this, i am just on asprin at the moment....Don't know what the outcome will be after baby is hopefuul born safe and well... i am 39 female.
