I had surgery on august 16 and the pain has returned and I will be going to have a emg done in a few weeks. My question is what types of surgeries are available? My dr said that if something shows up they may have to go in and move the entire nerve in my arm but i don't know the scientific name can anyone help?

The surgery is called anterior ulnar nerve transposition. There are 3 variations to it - subcutaneous (under the skin), submuscular (under the muscle) or intermuscular (between the muscle). The subcutaneous option is the most widely used. I understand the other two are more complicated and have more risks associated. I am not a doctor, but have been researching this extensively, as I am scheduled for my surgery next week, Feb 21st. I am having the subcutaneous version. Hope all goes well with you.
