I had a ct scan last week with contrast, (iv). My arm is still so sore! I call the imaging center and they said it was rare but some poeple do get a deep bruise. If there was no swelling or heat I shall be ok. They said to put heat on it.
Anyone have this with the fibro?
Second Iv I have had in two months in the same arm but the first one only hurt a couple of days.
My arm can hurt after getting my blood pressure taken and just simple blood tests. but never this bad. Hate to call my doctor he's so sick of me coming in for every little thing! (been in a flare for about three months now, my worse ever!)
Had my leg xray two weeks ago because it hurt so bad, always something!

hi windy,
bug your doctor again. this is your body not your doctors. it is the doctors job to assist you in caring for your body. if he is sick of seeing you, shame on him. he knows better.
it is rare. i have had several mri's and scans in the past few months. bruised and was sore after the radioactive stuff for the bone scan.
we fibro babies are fragil and sensitive. any invasion of our body causes a response. your doctor should already know this and be gentle and never get sick of trying to help you. if he does he is the wrong doctor for you and it is time to shop around for another.
you have to feel safe with your doctor. if you are worried about bugging him the freedom to go is not there. his feelings are not vital to the situation, excepting in as much as he cares for you. having a doc who honestly cares is priceless. i have one. i had to fire 17 along the way to find her. she is worth it.
peace,
bluelakelady

Saw my doctor, he said I had bleeding into the muscle tendon and it became inflammed, (tendonitis). I'm taking aleve because of it's anti-inflammatory effects. Little better, he said it can take up to 4 weeks to heal tho. Seem any problem with fibro takes longer to heal.
