Can anyone tell me if your appendix can grow back? I had mine out close to 29 yrs. ago after it exploded and I was turning blue and puking all the time...but just today I have such a bad pain right where the appendix would be and I'm curled up in a ball it hurts so bad. Any other suggestions if it can't grow back? Thanks:wave:

Yes go to the doctor now hun. I don't think a appendix can grow back. But do go to your doctor now because you're in a great deal of pain.

You can have what is called a "STUMP APPENDIX". I had this 6 months after my appendix was removed but i've read it's more likley to happen many years later.
I needed to have another surgery to remove some of the tissue surrounding the appendix. They said that there was an abscess there! Very painful! Go to the doctor or right to the E.R..

Could be an infection. You better have a doc check it out.
