Has anyone had an excisional biopsy? And if so, how long was your breast tender after the biopsy? I had a biopsy on the 23rd of Jan. and it is still pretty tender. Thanks

Tenderness after surgery has a lot to do with the location of the incision, the size of the biopsy, and the size of your breast. For example, a large breast can pull on the site of surgery if the incision is in the upper part of the breast. Wearing a sports bra 24/7 may help. Just be sure to see your doctor if you have any signs of infection---redness or increased temp in the breast. Hope things turned out ok!

Thank you, It's been three weeks today and I am still alittle tender and get shooting pains occasionally, but there is no redness or heat so I am not to worried, they had to go very deep into the breast so I think that is why it is still tender, if it keeps up I will certainly be calling my surgeon!!
Thanks
