It's sounds to me like you built up a lot of muscle and now your metabolism is burning off a lot more calories. Try adding some extra carbs to your diet and see what happens. Good luck!!

If you've stopped going to the gym, eventually your muscle mass will deterioriate (you will get less muscle) and your metabolism will slow down. Then you will start gaining/maintaing your weight! If you do this and your metabolism is still fast, it could be a hormonal/gland problem. Check it out with your doctor. Uncontrollable weight loss or gain could be a side effect of something more serious. But you just definitely give yourself some time for your metabolism to slow down. And yes, try eating more calorie-dense foods.

Hi there. I suggest that you get your thyroid checked. Sometimes when the thyroid goes into the overdrive (as in HYPERfunction), you may start loosing weight despite eating like a horse. Hyperthyroidism is a very serious condition and should be treated. Do take a simple blood test at your doctor's office.
