SOMETIMES my inner ear, sometimes both of them, itches so bad but when i scratch it it disappears. my doctor already checked it and said that both of my ears are very clean and there is nothing wrong with both my eardrums and that they are perfectly normal. i get the itch almost everyday. this lasted for about 4 months then suddenly i had tinnitus. the tinnitus just started suddenly 2 weeks ago. about the itching, it feels like something is tickling inside my inner ear and when i apply a little pressure using my finger the itch disappears.

what test could be done to see if there is anything wrong in my inner ear? mri scan?if it wasnt a foreign object in my ear what do you think could it be?

there are two muscles in the middle ear, they are the tensor tympani and the stapedial, they can twitch, spasm, move, or vibrate......they can cause all sorts of sensations.

the tinnitus just started so suddenly. about 4 months ago the CRAWLING or TINGLING sensation in both of my ears started. but it stopped everytime i poke my finger inside my ear GENTLY. this happens everyday. then suddenly i got tinnitus. im so confused what is wrong with me. the ENT told me my ears are so clean and no inflammation or pus in my eardrums. i had viral stomatitis/herpes simplex outbreak in my mouth about a month b4 the ear tingling started. can it be that the virus reached my ears? will it go away on its own?

I've always thought the itchiness was from allergies

I have the same thing in my left ear and it's been about 2 years. The first doctor couldn't find anything wrong so I've gone to a second one and I'm waiting for another CT scan. The tickling could be from the sinuses, but it just feels like your ear. Let me know what your doc says.

My inner ears itch when my allergies are bothering me. Benadryl always stops the itch.
