I had a positive ANA back in 1991 it was 1:160 speckled, I was having some joint pain, exhaustion, fevers and just generally feeling ill. I was told it was stress and it would pass. I tried biofeedback along with NSAID's. In 1996 I had my first bout with Iritis/Uveitis. It was horribly painful and I had several steroid injections into the white of my left eye when steroids by mouth and by eye drops didn't work. I then tested HLA-B27 positive and started on a journey of specialists to determine what all I have that is related to this discovery. I have been diagnosed with chronic iritis, RA, Aortic and Mitral valve insufficency alone with Fibro Myalgia and chronice fatigue. I also am following with a Neurologist for what they are calling left sided slowing. I had several abnormal eeg's. I recently had surgery on my right knee when they found an enchondroma on my tibia and a tear in the meniscus. While they were in doing the surgery they saw that my RA has progressed in spots to bone on bone. I have lost my job due to not being able to return to work due to my increasingly poor health but now have no insurance. I am taking lopressor for the heart, methotrexate and remicade for the RA and Iritis. I am wondering how fast the disease process with go with no treatment. I am trying to get some sort of coverage but it is a very slow process. Is there anyone else out there experiencing these issues? I feel very alone.
