I have a disability where I'll be watching a movie on tv or in theaters and I won't understand whats going on in it. Like, I won't get the main point. Someone has to explain it to me. And my mind tends to wonder onto other things sometimes. Even though I'm trying hard to realize what the movie is all about it's hard for me to figure it out. It's embaressing too cause my b/f usually explains to me what's happening. He sees I don't get it. I'm not sure what type of disability this is. Does anyone know?

She doesn't want to talk about it at all with me. All she has told me was that I have a learning disability. I know I do in math. But thats about all I knew. And I didn't know I had a disability, I just figured math was something I wasn't good at, but ya...I dunno...

Get a new doctor. You should know what your "disability" is...if you don't know the problem, then you can't take steps to try and fix it/improve it. Get a new doctor.

Right. I guess, I dunno. I don't think there's anything I can do to improve it anyways cause it's an ongoing thing. Since I was younger I wasn't able to watch movies and understand what was going on really. I'd just watch it cause I'd like what was happening. I love action movies and horrors. Action mostly though. I'd watch an action movie that really interests me but wouldn't get the main point of it, but I'd love the action.

There are alot more movies to see!!!!....I think you should find yourself a doctor that will suggest ways to help, instead of making it a Mystery out of it. You'd be surprised at the help that is out there .....just bc you are not aware of it now, doesn't mean it does not exist. Good luck!

Whaaaaaaaaaat????? I've never heard of such foolishness. How old are you? Asking because if you are a minor, maybe this doctor discussed your disability w/your parents & you should be asking them.
However, if you are an adult.....................

Agree w/babs. Find another doctor & give your $$$$ to the one that will work with you in telling you exactly what your condition is, what can be done about it, treatments available, etc.
