OMG I can't believe it I got acupuncture done for 30mins and I didnt have any nerve pain, symptoms or signs for 20 hours!! The longest I have ever had with no pain. If you have nerve pain from sciatica , get it done. It's worth every penny and mind you that was just my first time, i go back friday, can't wait!!!!

later,

Wow, that is awesome. I have to tell you I would see it on tv and say yeah right...I am not gonna let anyone stick a million needles in me. I hate needles. That is great that it helped, I guess I never talked to anyone who had it done. How ofter will you do it? What kind of cost is it? Did the needles hurt? Sorry just wondering.

I have accupuncture twice a week. The sessions usually runs about 90 minutes by the time all is said and done.

My internist sent me to my accupuncturist. He told me that I had to go to someone trained in the traditional chinese method of accupuncture. My dr. started training at her grandfather's knee when she was 5.

I am not totally pain free after I see her, but I walk easier, there is less nerve pain and I have more flexibility. I usually get anywhere from 32-52 needles in my back, butt and legs. She is very careful and always asks if they hurt when she inserts them. Depending on the weather, some i never feel and some are like a hot knife...shudder. When I started with her she told me it would be 5 visits before I started to see any relief. It was six. Much like my physio therapy, I think it will be a long term relationship that we have...I am getting this extended family of medical folks...

I adore this woman and she is so good to me. After she pulls the needles, i have about 20 minutes of accupressure...that is sure to cause a groan or two from me.

Some insurance plans cover accu. Mine does not. BUT, it only runs me $60 a visit, which is a small price to pay for the help she has been giving me. I think I have been with her about 7/8 month now.....
