Hello All,

Im a touring musician and have been constantly for the last few years playing hours on end. In the last year i have noticed that my right arm has started missing downward strumming, its almost like my brain is just forgetting to strum in time, its the strangest and most frustrating experience. Over the last few months it has become so bad that i can barley play my guitar at all. i am becoming very sloppy and i use to be really tight and would play with out even thinking about what i was doing, now i think about it all the time which takes alot of the fun out of playing live. Problem is we are about to record an album and tour the world so i need a quik fix.

The pain - Comes from my top shoulder thru to my elbow and begins to ache almost immediatly now, when i play almost like a cramp. Ive been and spent alot of $$ at a phsio but this did not seem to help me at all. Ive had my arm strapped as well but still made no diffrence,

Any body hear of this before and can help me in anyway i would be very greatfull.

thanks kindly

Sounds like it could be your rotator cuff (The rotator cuff is an anatomical term given to the group of muscles and their tendons that act to stabilize the shoulder). I am having a similar problem. I have been going to a chiropractor and I am making am appointment with an orthopedic surgeon soon. Your symptoms sound very similar to mine. You obviously have been overusing that part of your body and I would suggest you go to a doctor to get an x-ray to see what's going on. In the meantime you can ice the area, which will help the inflammation. Take an anti-inflammatory like Aleve, or Advil. Hopes this helps.

PS: good luck with your album/tour:) .
