The last two nights I haven't gotten a lot of sleep. My little guy has been waking up through the night wanting his pacifer (3 months) or like tonight he was uncosolable for awhile and then just wanted to be held. It started at 12:30, it's now 3:30. I think he might be finally going to sleep in his swing. BUt, I have to be up in 3 hours to go to work. I slept from 10:30 to 12:30, so at least there's that. I think I'll start getting expresso beans - the coffee isn't cutting it. I keep thinking of that line by Miranda in Sex in the City where she (looking exhausted and a mess) said "Now I have to go to work and pretend to be a lawyer."
For those of you who are working, how are you coping? I'm ok. It's just once and awhile, like tomorrow will be, I'm drinking multiple cups of coffee. And, now I'm thinking expresso beans might be easier.
Is this sad?

Yes, I hear ya!!!!!!!!!!! Coffee didn't cut it after I gave birth---DS is 7 months now! I've gone straight to espresso beans since!!!!!! I have 2-3 shots a day-----each shot with about 1 teaspoon of brown sugar---just like they do it in Argentina!! :) hahaha But I don't have any after 12 noon---otherwise I will be buzzzzzzzzzzzin all night. hehehehe Don't want your eyelid twitching as you're trying to fall asleep! lol
Good luck! :)

I don't mind anyone laughing at my post. I was kind of loopy when I wrote it anyway - from sleep deprivation.
I'm doing ok. I had 4-5 chocolate covered expresso beans today. Coffee was ok for the morning, but when 2ish hit, I just had to have the beans. I was so tired that I didn't get buzzed, I just became awake.

All you women who have to go back to work when babies are still 2-4 months, I truely feel for you. We get a year off with pay in Canada and thank goodness we do. I can barely handle being at home with a teenager and 3yr old and the baby (now 3months). Never mind throwing work in there!! I am sure I would be on the coffee beans as well if I was. I say do what you need to do as long as you aren't hurting yourself(or the kids). Good luck I hope it getts easier for you.

Bea...I noticed you posted about ds and constipation. We noticed when ds was constipated he would be up all night the night before he was going to have a bowel movement...fyi. I'm also back to work and there are days, I wonder how any of us gets through it!
:D

I wondered too, if it could be the constipation issue. He did enjoy having his legs moved back and forth and his stomach rubbed. Last night he was ok and today he's been ok all day. He even had a nonconstipated diaper. So, maybe this was just still working itself out a bit. I've been given him a bit of apple juice. I thought I might try that first before other remedies.
