The FDA is warning that RotaTeq, a vaccine for a virus that causes early childhood diarrhea can cause potentially life-threatening twisting of the intestines in infants. The condition is called intussusception. Something to be aware of.

That is one good reason why I am not into vaccinating my babies. Because there is some people out there that had to have this happen before the recall. It takes some one dying before they recall a drug. I am not trying to start an arguement on the pros and cons but the fact that some poor baby some where probably died a painful death sets me off.

The warning is a precaution. The FDA admits that it doesn't know if the vaccine causes this condition. If you read past the alarming headline it turns out that the number of cases is exactly the same with the vaccine as without. The same number of babies are getting twisted intestines as there were before the vaccine. I'm not here to defend the use of vaccines but I do defend the idea that we need to be informed by reading the rest of the story beyond the headline.

You all should read the book by Kevin Trudeau. It is all about making money and keeping us sick or the companies hoping we suffer from side effects, which all medications have so we spend more money. I am not a complete naturalist. I have Tylenol in my house and I did get my child the vaccinations that are reccommend, but overall I don't do anything extra. Thank you for the warning. Drugs and medications are very scary, and natural remedies are hidden from us.

Thanks Buffalo Girl - it is always good to be informed. I am, by no means, against drugs in any way, but I do like to be informed.
We have to remember that EVERY drug has a side effect - even some herbs! I don't believe that the FDA is trying to make us sick or is keeping secrets from us though. We all react differently b/c our bodies are different. With most drugs, if one doesn't work, you try another.
Similar to how some of our babies can drink formula w/o any problems and others need soy.
