I just found out I have a hiatal hernia.... This is making my anxiety worse... It feels like my food is getting "stuck" and my stomach "blows" up.... I have pain with it on and off..... Sometimes I think that is why it is hard for me to breath.... Any thoughts on this...... Anything will help me.. Thank You SO much!!!

I have health anxiety, so anything related to my health makes it worse, I understand how you feel. I have a girlfriend who has a hiatal hernia...she just had an endoscopy last week actually, but shes had the hernia for years. She's on a prescription for heartburn and there is a long list of foods shes not supposed to eat that aggrevate the condition. I would look into what you can do to make the symptoms as unnoticable as possible so you can go on with your life and not have this add to your anxiety.

I have a hiatal hernia, mine is small...the fact is that many people have one and just don't know. Dr's don't do anything about it unless it's a big one. It usually causes no symptoms, if you are having symptoms it's probably GERD or Gastritis or something else other then the hernia. I have health anxiety bad as well, but the hernia is really nothing to worry yourself over.
