Hi

I know that certain foods, chemicals and other things affect the way many anticonvulsants & other medications work.

As many of you know Dilantin is affected by grapefruit.

What I would like to find out is what foods, chemicals etc. should I avoid
whilst I am taking Lamictal & Keppra ???

Thank you Craig ...

I just read through the 30+ page technical on Keppra. The main thing to avoid is hazardous activities and operating machines until you know how you act on the medication. It does NOT mention any foods or items of that nature that may cause problems with the medication.

If needed you CAN break the Keppra tabs in half to get to the dossage your Dr ordered. I have to break a 750 (for example).

I don't have the technical sheet on Lamictal on my drive.

I also was told about grapefruit but also not to take antiacids. I'm not sure if it's because it blocks absorbtion or sodium enhaces the neurotransmitters in the brain. Good luck and Gob bess. Jeff
