Noel's girl

My twins just turned a year old. I have been giving them table food for the most part and as a snack I will steam them carrots and asparagus. They seem to like it. I was just wondering if there is any other kind of vegetable I can steam for them that they might like? And also I really like fruit, I want my kids to be the same way, but there is really no good fruit because it is not summer yet. Should I be giving them fruit right now so they can grow to like it? Am I doing a bad thing by not giving them fruit on a regular bases right now? I hate to give them canned fruit because of all the extra sugar.

AFAIK, you can give them pretty much any vegetable you would eat so long as it is cooked to a soft enough consistency and easy for them to eat. It doesn't necessarily even need to be cut up super tiny, because they learn to take bites that way.
For fruit, I would suggest baked apples or pears or very ripe bananas.
Good luck!
