Jill... about the pancreas specialist.. we didnt talk about if sphincter of oddi causes damage long term to the pancreas. I would think that if you are having repeated pancreatitis that it could cause long term damage, but if you are having that much pancreatitis I would guess you would be getting it fixed. I unfortunately am on IV nutrition and have been for 4 months so I have no choice of getting it fixed since IV nutrition is so bad for you.
