Hello all!
I have a few questions I was hoping some of you may know the answer to! So far, I've only tried clomid. My Dr. said after my lap that we would either try clomid again or move on to gonadotropins. I'm not quite sure what he's going to recommend (I have my appt on the 21st), but I have a few questions that maybe you guys can answer before then.
1. For clomid, they check me at cd12 for follicle development. What day is normal for injectable cycles? Or is there more monitoring altogether?
2. Do injectables actually improve the quality of your eggs? I didn't think that clomid does and from what I was reading, it sounded like injectables may actually improve the quality not just quantity.
3. For PCOS, they have me on dexamethasone only, but they only have me take it from the day I start clomid until they give me the HCG trigger. They tell me to make sure that I stop it after I get the shot. Would anyone happen to know why? It apparently is supposed to lower my androgen levels, but I would think these levels should be low all the time not just for a portion of my cycle. I figure a lot of you may not know the answer to this because it doesn't seem a lot of people take dex, so I may just have to ask my Dr. when I see him. It's just been a question I have had for awhile and keep forgetting to ask!
I think that's all for now. I appreciate any help you can give!
Thanks!
Laurie
