I just got the prescription filled and it is 2 pm. Is it too late to start today. I just finished lunch and don't think the upset stomach is a problem but I am worried about sleeping. Anyone ever have problems with the nighttime doses? I'm so excited to try after reading all the posts on this miracle I don't want to wait. Starting on a Friday just in case there are any side effects to interfere with work.

Beginning chantix right now shouldn't cause you sleep problems. It'll take at least a day or two to get into your bloodstream.

Congratulations on your decision to quit Motown! You can start the Chantix any time. The first few days I started taking it were pretty uneventful. I slept like a baby. I actually started on a Monday, first day back to work after a long weekend and had no problems other than being slightly spacey.

Welcome aboard!!! You're gonna love it here. The people are the best.
Some people have sleep problems taking this drug, some don't. I slept like a baby. You won't know until you try it. If you find that you are unable to sleep while taking the Chantix, contact your doctor. It is possible that he/she will prescribe a mild sleeping pill while you are on this medicine. Everyone reacts differently to this pill. Most are able to continue taking it even with some slight side effects. So don't go gettin all worried about it. Just wait and see.
