Hello!
I was just wondering when everyone started potting training their ds?
Mine is almost 19mos..he tells me when he's going "poo poo" but as for peeing--nothing. I just wanted to get an idea of when everyone started!
Thanks!

Hi S&J, when my daughter was one yr old she was waking up dry so I put her on the toilet (with the potty insert) every morning after she woke up. Eventually she would tell me through out the day that she had to use the toilet and I would put her on. She increased telling me until she was potty trained. I kept her in a diaper at the beginning of this process. I think starting early is a good idea if they are showing signs.
Thanks for your reply!
I think we might get the potty that goes on the toilet (I'm assuming that they're available) and when ds obviously going #2..we'll plop him on and see what happens. He'll probably get scared? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Ok thanks!

S & J, actually when they are really young that aren't scared yet. They get scared when they get older and they can think better. My MIL told me to get started early so that they are used to it (start early just for practice - not to expect success right away).

my oldest daughter was 2 when she was potty trained, she wouldnt poo on the potty or toilet as she was too scared and nearly a year to get her to poo on the toilet
my youngest is 21 months and is no where near ready, she cant talk, and she doesnt care if she has poo or alot of wee in her nappy, so i can see she is going to be really late potty training, i was hoping to start her in a couple of months but i dont think that will be happening
