I am planning on working out for 5 days a week - two days of muscle toning exercise for about 45 minutes each day (that 45 minutes includes the rests between intervals), and three days of light aerobic exercise. Right now I mainly work out my lower body. In about two weeks I am going to start working out my arms and stomach etc. How long will it take to see results? (I am also trying to lose 8 pounds at a rate of about 2 pounds a week. Is it possible to lose weight and gain muscle?)

It's more possible to lose fat and gain muscle! It's difficult to gain muscle mass while trying to lose weight because of the caloric and protien requirements of pure muscle mass gain. If you are wanting to gain muscle mass, don't look at the scale!
