I've had a really bad flu over the past few days and my protein consumption has therefore gone from about 200Grams a day to about 5. I've been working really hard over the past year to gain weight, and when I stepped on the scale today I noticed that in 3 days I have now lost about 10 pounds. 10 pounds isn't easy for me to gain. Is this going to really set me back??? ie. some muscle loss, or is this just mostly fluid lost etc.

10lbs is a hell of a lot to lose in three days.I'd say your appetitie was most likely tapering off before the illness really hit you.

Whatever you lose from the flu will come back on within a week or so of you getting better and going back to you old workout routine

So don't panic.If it took ages to put weight on after illness there would be no pro bodybuilders in the world, because they get sick just like the rest of us in a year.
