Hi
I am a male and seem to be gaining weight around my stomach (prolly from all those beers :P ) Was wondering if the best excercise to generally firm up the stomach is sit-ups?! If now what excercises can I do to firm my stomach up.

Peruse through earlier posts... it gets repeated a lot, but spot reduction does not work. If you want to lose fat, you need to watch your diet and incorperate exercise (cardio). Sit-ups will not help you to lose the gut. It will strengthen the muscle, but will not drop the fat.
