Im 16, 6ft3 220 pounds. I've been weight lifting and doing crunches for the past 2 months. I started to jog last week daily last week. My weight training consists of benching and peck deck at light weight 15 reps 4 sets every other day. My cardio workout involves 15 minutes of intense heavy bag and 20 minutes of jogging directly after and i usually finish off with 3 sets of 60 sit ups. Ive put myself on a strict diet.

So any way i have a few questions. The way I do my sit ups is I lay flat on the ground with my hands behind my head so that my elbows are facing out then i come up and put the right elbow to the outside of my left thigh and from there my left elbow to the outside of my right thigh. I was wondering if this is a good way to get most of the stomach muscles worked out? Also, if my daily routine is an efficent way to loss weight. My goal is to get rid of 20 pounds by summer so my abs show and my chest is firm. Thanks for your help

Your ab workout is working primarily your obliques. You may want to include some regular situps/crunches to get more definition in the rectus abdominus (the long ab muscle in the middle from ribcage to groin). That will help you get the washboard look when you get cut. 35 min of cardio is good. It _should_ get you where you wnat to be, but again, everyone's body acts and reacts differently. If you dont see any results in a couple weeks, kick it up some.
