hey everyone..
i'm pretty sure i have IBS-D and i was just wondering what everyone recommends as far as diets and ways to stop it? I'm just really down mainly because i've had "D" maybe four or five times in the past week and 1/2...and i know sometimes for women if they are going through their menstrual cycle it is normal to get it. However, at this point i don't have my period and i just want it to stop. I've tried limiting my sugar and dairy amounts, and i'm not eating any fried or spicy food anymore...does anyone have any advice? i'd really appreciate it!
PS. i'm going to see justin timberlake in concert tonight, and i have "D" and i'm really sad...so like i said any help you guys could give me would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks!

I've had great success by adding soluble fibre through foods and supplements to my diet. Insoluble fibre such as bran or some raw unpeeled fruits and veggies can be very irritating for some IBS-D sufferers. You can get good info on the difference between the two types of fibre in most books or internet info on nutrition. Sounds like you're already making some good changes in your diet. Too much sugar for me equals major gas and diarrhea. Enjoy the concert!
