Hi.
My 4 yr old boy has been suffering on and off for 2 1/2 months now. Started with tonsillitus, ear infections, high temperatures( upto 40 degs), not eating (although drinking) and generally tired and well just unwell.
He`s had a couple of courses of antibiotics which haven`t really achieved much.He seems to be living on Nurofen and paracetamol at the mo for his temperature which was about 38 earlier.
Some of his school friends have been suffering as well so he`s not alone. One was taken to hospital last week but despite tests is no further on.
The Dr saw him again on Friday and did a thorough examination. ie. chest (clear), urine(ok),ears which were inflammed, throat a little inflammed. But nothing which really gave any cause for concern.
So my question is, is it something that other children on this forum suffered with?If so any answers??! Is it a stubborn virus that will eventually burn itself out?? Any help/advice will be greatly received.

Hello,
For my children I always make sure to give them probiotics after being on antibiotics. It is so important to put the beneficial bacteria back in the stomacha and intestines. This too boosts the immune system. I also use one drop of oregonal oil in juice to treat stubborn colds. You must make sure to buy an oregano oil that in okay to take internally. I like the super strength Oregonal by North American Herb and Spice Company. I also use homeopathic remedies and have had really good success with them. You will have to research which ones your child may need based on his symptoms.
Best wishes.

It is quite concerning to me that your little boy has been ill with fevers for 2 1/2 months. Please insist that he have blood work done. Has your MD done a CBC as yet? That is a very important test to start with since he has been sick this long.
