View Full Version : Rumbling and sharp pain under left ribs

Over the last 2 months I've had some GI tract problems, I had sharp rectal pain, blood from rectal area, constant diarrhea for like 3 weeks, and some abdominal pain. I had a colonoscopy on the 26th of january, i've got all my tests back and had a follow up visit. They ruled out colon cancer, ulcerative colotitis, Chrohns, and took bioposies and tests came back as everything was fine with me. For about a week now I've been getting pain underneath my ribs on my left side, it is little above where my bottom ribs start. I would saw it is a few inches below the bottom of my heart. The pain is usually sharp and doesn't last long, usually a few seconds and is completely gone in a few minutes. This kind of scared me and my first thoughts that it was chest pain, I've got the same pain once or twice on my right side but it usually happens on my left side. I noticed today that right in that same spot i could feel a "rumbling feeling", it's like the same feeling you feel with IBS in your stomach/rectum, this made me think it may be more related to my stomach rather then any type of heart/organ problems. Anyone have any feedback on this?
