Hi,

I am after some advice - I am 5ft 5 and 71kgs. I am trying a weight loss program of weight lifting for 1 hour 15 and then running for 30 mins and cycling for 10 mins. (I do this 3 -4 times a week)

I eat 2 slices of toast in the morning with coffee followed by a small lunch (although not always do I have lunch) then dinner in the evening of chicken and vegetables. If I eat any more than this I put on weight and now after 2 months I find I am not losing weight visibly and on the scales. My stomach is still big!!

Can anyway suggest what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Couple of things for you.. First you need to increase the amount of times you eat a day. Try to get up to 5-6 meals a day. Eat heathly smaller meals like an apple with some oatmeal for breakfast, trail-mix and a banana mid-morning, chicken breast for lunch and so on. By only eating 2 sometimes 3 meals a day you body is use to having to store fat to make up for the missed meals. Drink lots of water and cut out all coffee and soda drinks if you can. A recent study by Tufts Institute said that drinking 1 pop a day and not changing you eating or exercising habits will add 15 lbs. of fat per year. Also vary your work outs. Again your body gets used to the normal workout so you need to trick it into responding by giving it something new. Good luck and I hope this helps
