Hi everybody,
Just finished reading through all your messages for the first time and thought I would introduce myself.
I am a wife and mother of two and DESPERATELY long for another baby. We have been trying for just over two years now but feels like forever!
It was great reading all of the messages of hope and support you share with one another. You sound like an amazing bunch of women and I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Hi Ruby  & Welcome to the Boards. I'm sorry to hear you have been trying for 2 years with no luck. That must be so frustrating after the first two children, you probably thought you wouldn't have any trouble. We are still trying for our first, and we're praying we will get that BFP really soon.

Good luck to you. I think you will find lots of support here. :)

Hi Ruby,

Welcome to the board. You will find lots of support here. I have been ttc #1 for 2.5 years and just found this board last fall. They have helped me through some of the worst days. I hope we can be there for you too. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Ruby,

Welcome to the boards. You will find a lot of support here. I am sorry you are TTC two years for #3. DH and I are TTC baby #1 and these past two years have been really difficult. There are a few other women TTC #2 or #3 too. I hope that your wishes to have another child come true very soon for you :)

Hi Ruby. I understand what you are going through. DH and I have been ttc #2 for a little over a year. We are very frustrated as well since it only took us 8 months to conceive our DD. She wants a sibling so badly now and we are so ready to give her one. No matter how many children you already have, if you are longing for another baby, it is like you have never had one. I feel for you. I pray that you will get your BFP really soon. If you don't mind me asking, have you seen an RE yet and does he have any ideas what could be causing your secondary IF? Our RE seems to think it is unexplained for us after figuring out that it isn't DH. He thought it was DH at first but then his count and motility were great for our first IUI. We are in the 2ww from the first IUI and praying that we will have beginners luck.

Good luck to you! You will enjoy this board and all the women are so supportive. I have become addicted to it! It really helps me.:)

Hi Anna Leigh
Thankyou so much for getting back to me and for your words of support and encouragement.
To answer your question, yes I have seen an RE. He thought my problem could be one of a couple of things. He did blood tests and everything looked fine. Anyway, he put me on a course of 100mg Clomophine (which I think is similar to Clomid) to stimulate ovulation and my body reacted well to this. I was definitely producing an egg every month. We also tried blood tracking (blood tests every other day to pin point ovulation). We felt so positive to be doing something pro-active and to know that my body was responding to the drugs but unfortunately no BFP.
The next step will be a dye test (I think in the states you call it an HSG) to check if my tubes are clear. I do get very painful cramps every month so possibly could be suffering from endo. I guess if the HSG shows a blockage our next step will be laproscopic surgery. Unfortunately, this kind of surgery is very expensive in NZ so we are moving slowly and exploring all our options. I wish you the very best of luck and will keep all my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Welcome to the boards Ruby! To echo what the other ladies have already stated, there is such a wealth of knowledge here. In addition, you couldn't find a more supportive community. My DH & I have been trying for almost 14 years for #1, so the histories here are really varied. I hope your stay here is short, and your success quick! Though, glad you stopped by!

Hi Ruby. I am glad that you are taking steps to identify the problem you guys are having. I haven't had an HSG b/c I felt like since I had had one baby that there wasn't any blockage. I guess I am wrong in thinking that. My RE did mention that we could do that test, I just kind of dismissed it. I guess we could consider that if this month brings us yet another BFN.

It is definately positive that you are producing eggs each month, though. Maybe there just needs to be that perfect month for egg and sperm to meet up. Have you guys considered IUI, which can help to get the sperm exactly where they need to go?? That is what we did this month. I am on pins and needles waiting to see if AF is going to show up. I had some cramping today, 10dpiui.

Good luck to you!! I am glad that you joined the board. I think you will find it supportive, even though most women are TTC #1. Like I said, though, I know how frustrating it is to not be able to conceive a child again. My thoughts are definately with you!:)

Anna Leigh,

I just wanted to say I think it is a very good idea for you to have HSG. Even if you did not have a blockage you may have one now. That RE when he did mine it was inconclusive so if when he does it the same happens to you I would have another one done with a different RE. As the otehr one was ablt to tell me the results. Just an FYI :)

Hi Laurie,
Thanks for the lovely message. I will definitely keep you at the top of my list of people to pray for. People like you inspire me to keep on trying when I feel like giving up. The two years we have been trying for feel like a long time so I can't imagine how difficult this journey must be for you. I guess that's the great thing about this board - being able to share feelings and get them off our chests. I look forward to reading more of your messages........

Hi Joey
Thanks for your message. I was interested to hear you have had an HSG. I am a little worried that it may hurt but hey, it's totally worth it. I have been told that if you do have a slight blockage that having an HSG can temporarily unclog it and increase your chances of pregnancy. Do you know whether or not this is true? Also, I'd love to know what your results were - hopefully good!
Talk to you soon.

Hi Joey
The information you gave me was really helpful. I am super nervous but like you said it is completely worth it and I will stay focused on my main goal which like you is a baby!
I will be keeping everything crossed for you this month and praying for a BFP for you. Keep us all up to date with your progress.
