Hey this is my first time on this board.
Anyways, im wanting to get a square looking chest. I Like i want the bottom of my peck be look more like a L than a U that sticks out alot. I ride bikes alot so i have a low body fat percentage but im just wanting to get my pecks like http://expn.go.com/media/hoffman/2001/photos/hoffmantour/10.jpg that instead of huge body builder looking pecks. What should i do, alot of dumbell flys or alot of military presses or bench presses or what? Im totally confused. I have pecks right now but they make more a U shape than an L shape.
thanks to those who reply.

Its not like its easy to get bodybuilder physiques you know. I'll never understand why people think that doing a couple reps will make them some buff mofo (mostly girls think this)
ANYWAYS your gonna have to do some resistance training, full body. You can just grow in one spot your whole body has to grow together.

it all depends on body type.. thats all there is to it. Some people have bulging pecs (Shwarzeneger style) and some have more squarish ones. It all depends on height, size, and genetics. I guess the more chest muscle you build the more square it will look.. but Im not sure.

I would suggest that you do some decline presses, these will target the lowere Pec more. Additionaly, for mass you should think about using heavier weight and fewer reps. You have to have the muscle there to get the shape...Be sure to get plenty of rest as well.

That's good advice... i'm way out of shape now and just started working out again... but when i am in shape i have those huge swartzenneger type pecs... I too hate those, as it makes me look like i have boobies when i have a tee-shirt on. I'd much rather they were flatter and square on the bottom. So I'll incorporate some decline presses... i never usually do those as most places I work out don't have a good machine for it. Currently my pecs are sore from working out yesterday, but as I type this and mimick a decline press against the desk I can feel that the muscles it's working are a good inch below my sore peck muscles. I'd like to be able to do it some way when there isn't a good machine, like perhaps non-weight pushups with hands centered below the pecs would work that area... but it would probably be nice to get more weight on those reps, although right now my own weight is plenty. I guess by the time this is an issue i'll have found a good machine to do decline presses on, or join a more expensive gym.

I too have a u shaped chest and have been working to lose it for years now. I talked to my trainer about it and was told to see a physician. The doc told me that I could have a moderate case of gynocomestia. This condition can be brought on by a lot of things but is very hard to get rid of.
