Well, this is the second night in a row I have gotten up WAY too early. 3:30 a.m. this morning. I am a girl who NEEDS my sleep!!
For those who took a sleep aide, what did you take? I plan on calling my doctor today.
Day 3 for me, and aside from being tired, I feel great!

Deb,
Today is day 4 for me, and I did get samples of Rozerem from my Dr the other day. Even so, I have woken at 1:30 the last 2 nights in a row, then toss and turn the rest of the night. It will get better! Hang in there!

Well, my doctors office told me to take benadryl -
I told them I would try it for a few days and if it didn't work, I would call them back. Do they not want me addicted to a sleep aide?
Last night I took a benadryl and one tylenol pm - I think I slept a little better, but not through the night. Maybe I'll have a glass of wine tonight :)

It seems as though doctors are prescribing less medication (ambien, xanax, etc...). I'm guessing because of the dependency and/or addiction people may have. I have a new doctor and she refused to refill my xanax which I take as needed for anxiety. She wasn't hesitant in prescribing Wellbutrin to me which caused my anxiety to soar and I was having major panic attacks which I haven't had for about a year. I would think she would've known with my history of anxiety and past diagnosis of Panic Disorder, she would've known the effects Wellbutrin would have on me. Lucky for me, when I called my doctor's office, she wasn't there and the doctor who was there placed a prescription for me. Anyways, it's just a bummer that doctor's are becoming overly cautious because there are people out there that really need those medication. I'm thinking of going back to my previous doctor because I had her since I was 18 years old (I'm now 30) and she knows my history.
I guess I'm just venting a little, sorry. I hope your sleeping gets better.

Vent away.....I don't mind :)
I figured that my dr. didn't want to get me addicted to a sleeping pill.....
I bought some tylenol pm to see if that helps. I do feel a little more rested today.
