My mom is currently trying to receive TPN and is breaking out in a pretty extensive itchy rash. MD suggested Benedryl prior to TPN infusion but after 5 hours she became very sick and rashy and needed to be disconnected. She desperately needs the nutrtion. Has anyone ever had a similar experience or heard of one? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
