My MIL was diagnosed w/mastestic cancer (nodules in her lungs & mass on Liver) she's been having a periodic fever. Today she had her biopsy on the liver - they did a CT scan & MRI. We have to wait 'til next Thur. to find the results, but she got broke out into another fever today at the hospital.

I'm thinking this may be more in the advanced stages than we think. She's so tired, no appetite & now this fever thing. Anyone have any ideas - I guess I want to be prepared for the worse so in case things turn for the better I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Honest opinions only!

Hi, I'm awfully sorry for her diagnosis. I was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma in january and started chemo shortly after. I was told that if my temperature went above 38oC that i was to call the ward and go straight in. I was also told that i cannot take paracetamol or any drugs containing paracetamol because this masks the fever. Hope that helps.
