I know you said you are too drained to post today and that's OK. I am glad you are taking time out when you need it. Wanted to post this seperately so you would see it. I don't know all the details about what went down with you and your Dad but need you to know i understand. That was the issue that broke Grasshopper's back with my mother. She is very materialistic, always has been. MONEY!!!! always wanted it, shared with who she wanted but not those who needed her help. Resented my Dad for working all his life and putting a roof over her head and food on the table. She took a job when my sister and I were in our teens to have the luxuries she wanted. Has never had to work a day in her life to eat. I am the opposite. I have worked and supported two families so they could eat. So you see we are very different people. I asked her to help me food shop as my husband was injured with no paycheck for 3 years and I was killing myself doing overtime to make ends meet. When I knew his case would be settled, and yes I waiting until i was sure, I asked for this help for food. She cried with a loaf of bread under both arms. A couple of days later she called my husband and said OK. I called her back and told her thank you but I couldn't accept it as it was blood money to me. I had to beg and yet she is very generous with those who are not in need. I am her only daughter. That same year she gave handsomely to my sister's kids who have done nothing but abuse her and their boyfriend and girlfriend. BUT her only daughter , my daughters and my grandchildren ( her only great-grandchildren) didn't get a card in the mail. Then went against my Father's wishes that what he had saved and wanted me to have ( as per his will) she changed to give my sister's kids everything. Though I don't know you whole story I wanted you to know that I have been on the other side of a parent and MONEY coming before me and my children whithout a thought of our well being. I'm here for you and will keep checking to make sure you are OK.

Love you,
Grasshopper ;)

Dear Grasshopper,

I will be alright. I'm just treading through the mud and forgot to wear boots (metaphorically speaking).

Thanks for the thread; it does help.

Take care
God Bless

Dear Grasshopper,

I now have the boots on and am treading through the "mud."

It's deeper than I thought.

I honestly feel like "going back inside."

Take care
God Bless

FTM ---there's nothing wrong with going back "inside" just don't stay there for long and remember to put the boots on before you go out again. I wore a suit of armour for more year sthan I can count.

:D Grasshopper
