Hi all
I have had a serious scalp problem for quite a few years now. I was once told it was fungal but ive never had it thoroughly investigated. Anyway, the only relief I find is dermovate hair lotion (cortizone) but now I am 8 weeks pregnant and cant use it. Well, my scalp itch has flared up drastically and my skin is shedding like snowflakes! Are there any safe but effective alternatives I can try? Please advise me!

Hi,
Since you are pregnant, please ask your doctor if you can use the following:
mix a few drops of lavender, tea tree and oreganol oil with coconut oil and rub into your scalp. Some essential oils are not safe to use during pregnancy, so please ask before trying this. The oils are anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and perhaps may offer you some relief.
Best wishes.
