Maybe someone out there can help. I have problems and issues with my gums, my teeth are actually pretty good. I do take care of my teeth, but I have a few strikes against me... 1- I am a Gulf War Vet and alot of us have gum problems, also both of my parents have dentures.
Only thing that does bother me, even though I tell my wife its no big deal is alot of time during the night my gums will bleed and i'll wake up with some blood spots on the pillow.
Even though I do take care of my teeth, I dont see a dentist like I should. I am concerned that I may end up having to get dentures, as i see how my gums are.
Anyone else have or had these issues??

Agree with the last two postings. It is time to seek help. Dentist's and Periodontist's today make it so easy. Pain free dentistry is readily available today.

You often have to search for the right dentist for you, but when you find him/her you will not fear any longer...believe me when I say I was the biggest chicken ever.....and when my childhood dentist retired I thought what do I do....I am blessed with great teeth, didn't have great gums but when I found my new dentist, who practice sedation dentistry, well my fear is gone, and my dentist is also a great caring person which helps too.

And now my gums are beautifully pink and healthy and I love smiling again.

Do some research and make an appointment...it is the only solution.

I agree with all the others. Get yourself to a Periodontist immediately. I think these support boards are wonderful, but when someone sits here and types away questions to strangers on how to cure their bleeding gums I wonder what planet they are from.
