On Monday I went for a bone scan and when they called me yesterday they said they also found something abnormal with my right kidney. They said it could be cyst and I'm having an ultrasound on Monday afternoon. For the last month or so, my back has been aching on that side but never thought that much about it. I sleep most of the night on my right side, so thought it was from that. I just had knee replacement done 3 months ago and all my lab and work up before surgery turned out ok. It's driving me nuts not knowing what's going on with me. I don't have any other systems like bladder infection, blood in urine or frequent urinating. Just the pain or sore spot on my back. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is cancer. I read somewhere on the net about having high blood pressure. I have had high blood pressure but it was under control until about six weeks ago. I went to the doctor for a sinus infection and my BP was really up. So she started me on Topral as well as the Vasotec that I'm on. Could this have been a warning that something else was going on? While I was in the hospital my BP was normal.:confused:
