I am looking for any help on getting a stuck stone out of me. I have so they say a 6mm stone stuck in my lower ureter. I have had the stone for 7 weeks. At first they said is was 3mm and wait a few weeks and let it pass on its own. After a few weeks a ER trip 3 cts and 2 xrays later they said it was 6mm and they wanted to go in and brake it up. I had a ureterscope done but they were unable to reach it. after going through the trauma and pain of that and the ordeal of the stent causing pain I had the sockwaves done a week later. A week after that back to the URo with new xrays and the stone is still there and has not moved. I have to wait 3 weeks and he wants to go back in with the ureterscope and try to laser it again. I need this thing out of me. has any had this problem before and any suggesting s would be great, I have 3 weeks to get this thing out any help?

Thanks

I had a large one that kept moving and causing infection after infection and PAIN. Finally, they did an IVP and decided because of its location, and since it hadn't passed on its own in 9 months, they couldn't do lithotripsy, so they just surgically removed it. Felt better after the stent came out.

Have they had you "defy gravity" since the litho. I found hanging upside down 20 minutes after fluid intake encouraged movement. *As far as upside down goes you need your hips/pelvis elevated higher then the chest and at least a 45 degree angle.

Defy Gravity I have not tried but I will. Thank you. With the IVP How long was the recovery, if the next scope does not work that will probably be the next step. After my first scope the pains were so bad in my kidney, bladder and groin I called the doc and that is why he set up the litho a week after the scope. Has anyone tried any of these so called home remedy secrets being sold on the internet?

I had the best results of passing stones by just drinking lots (and lots) of water. But a stuck stone for 7 weeks sounds like a serious problem. Any clue, as to what type of stone it is? Uric acid stones can be dissolved, which could help in the passing. Surprised you have to wait 3 weeks because urine blockage can cause kidney damage over time.

I have some success with a product called TheraLith. Not sure if it is sold on the net but you do need a code from your uro to get it. It is a herbal remedy and they will only send you 90 days at a time. I also had help with adding lemons to my diet - One liter water - 2 lemons and drink.
