Thanks! dramaquin 05-05-2007, 05:02 PM Hi Hi I am scheduled for an IVP on Monday. The thing is I haven't had my period for over 2 months and suddenly today my period came. I tried calling the Imaging office to see whether I can do the IVP but nobody is around during weekends I guess. Because there are things to prepare before the IVP I need to know whether having my period will interfere with it. Does anyone know? I don't want to have to go through all the things I need to prepare on Sunday and at 6 am Monday morning; and then when I am at the imaging office they tell me I can't go through with the IVP due the menstruation. Thanks Dramaquin dramaquin 05-05-2007, 07:23 PM Thanks for responding. I needed that assurance. Hi dramaquin Having your period will not interfere with an IVP....I've had them done at that "wonderful" time of the month.. Good luck with your IVP.. dramaquin 05-05-2007, 08:52 PM Hi Allie I have blood in my urine. I had UTI in January but after 2 weeks there was still traces of blood in the urine. In February I was supposed to take another urine test but somehow I had a period every other week so was unable to do so until my menstruation completely stopped. Anyway, I didn't have period for 2 months now but I did notice that my urine has color and I suspected it's blood. I went to see my OBG last month and he confirmed that. So far, we still don't know whether it's bladder, kidney or uterus problem till more test are done. Hopefully, it's none of the above. I had rotator cuff surgery last November and still recovering so I don't really want to go through another problem again. Dramaquin Hi dramaquin Make sure you drink plenty of fluids after the test to flush out that dye. Have you ever had an IVP before? What problems are you having? (If you don't want to answer I'll understand) Good Luck with the test.... Allie |
